Diagonal touch sensor supplied to National Air and Space Museum
An 84” diagonal touch sensor has been supplied by Zytronic to the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution (NASM) for inclusion in a recently unveiled exhibit. The museum – which displays the world’s largest collection of aircraft and spacecraft – welcomes 6.7 million visitors annually, making it the fifth-most-visited museum in the world. Ideum was tasked with updating one of the museum’s most heavily used exhibits – a touch-interactive table that enables visitors to design, customise and launch space station modules of their own creation.

 General Micro Systems has received General Dynamics Mission Systems’ 2017 Soldier’s Network Defender of the Year award for the company’s innovative and cost effective support of the US Army’s Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2 programme. The programme is the Army’s tactical communications network backbone delivering mission-command, communications, and situational awareness for soldiers.

  Just in time for the Paris Air Show, the engineers of the Fiber Patch Placement specialist Cevotec achieved a milestone: the additive, automated production of an aircraft window funnel. The prototype will be shown at the Paris Air Lab site and in the ESA pavilion.

Manufacturer of precision parts and gap-management solutions, Shimco, will join other Ontario aerospace manufacturers at the 52nd edition of the Paris Air Show taking place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions from 19th to 25th June 2017. The Ontario Government, in partnership with the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC), is organising the province’s presence at the Paris Air Show in the Ontario Pavilion located in hall 3, booth C60.

Test solutions fly in to Paris Air Show
An extensive range of maintenance and test solutions will be demonstrated by Marvin Test Solutions at the 2017 International Paris Air Show (June 19-25). Featured products at this year’s event include the Hellfire Scalable-Rail Launcher (HSRL) which provides single- and multi-rail launch capability for AGM-114 missiles without the need for external electronics or AC power.
