CMC testing extended to temperatures over 2700˚F

A customised process for testing Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) at temperatures over 2700˚F has been developed by Element Materials Technology’s CMC Centre of Excellence located in Cincinnati. The capability is specifically designed to support all of the Aerospace Primes and their supply chain partners in the development and manufacturing of current and next generation aero engines that need to operate at exceedingly higher temperatures and incorporate CMCs as part of the engines components.

The IZT R5000 was faerured on the ITZ stand at EW Europe. The next generation of high performance receivers combines up to 100MHz instantaneous bandwidth with the proven excellent RF performance of the legacy IZT receivers. The R5000 covers the frequency range between 9kHz and 18GHz.
