Governor tours SCS facility to promote aerospace industry

Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch toured Specialty Coating Systems' facility on 13th February 2018, as part of her effort to showcase Wisconsin's aerospace industry. Lt. Governor Kleefisch is Chairman of the Aerospace States Association, an advocacy group for the industry cluster when it comes to regulations and standards, and recruiting more interested, talented workers.

SCS was honoured to welcome the Lt. Governor and others to understand the benefits of Parylene coating technologies first hand. From electronic devices used within aircraft and ground systems to components that must operate in the depths of space, SCS Parylene conformal coatings provide reliable protection to ensure long, trouble-free life.

During the visit, Clear Lake Plant Manager Alex Dix facilitated a tour of SCS’ coating operation and Territory Manager Tim Dietrich provided a brief presentation on Parylene and the company’s role in the growing aerospace industry.

Attendees included: Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, Alexander Lech – Lt. Governor’s Staff, Gail Nolan – Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Meridith Jaeger – Executive Director, Wisconsin Aerospace Partners (WASP), Heather Smith – Regional Director, WEDC, Aina Vilumsons – Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI) and John Tackis – Director, WASP.

From ocean depths to space exploration, SCS Parylene coatings provide mission-critical protection to electronics and components, including circuit boards, sensors, LEDs, wafers, and assemblies.
