Smart manufacturing facility to address demand for Hi-Rel connectors

Harwin has started production in its new manufacturing facilities at the Portsmouth headquarters in the South of England. Harwin cable assemblies to support Gecko-MT mixed technology connectors

Harwin has expanded its services relating to the Gecko-MT high-reliability (Hi-Rel) connector series. Enabling significant reductions in weight and space, Gecko-MT robust 1.25mm-pitch components add two or four 10A-rated power contacts to the standard 2A-rated 8 Gecko signal contacts, addressing data and power delivery simultaneously.

Harwin has made its supply chain more streamlined and responsive by extending the scope of its Datamate Mix-Tek high-reliability (hi-rel) connector series. OEMs can now purchase cable housings for these 2.00mm and 4.00mm pitch connectors without contacts fitted, rather than being restricted to a small number of pre-defined kits.
