Global consortium wins $1M for project to stop open burning of waste

An international initiative led by Engineering X, a collaborative effort established by the Royal Academy of Engineering and Lloyd's Register Foundation, received a grant of £1.3 million from the UNEP’s Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) to combat the widespread practice of open burning of solid waste. This practice has dire consequences for human health and the environment globally.
