Solid state high power MPM for EW and radar

TMD Technologies has announced the addition of a new solid state power amplifier (SSPA) to its range of innovative products for defence EW and radar applications. Compact and lightweight, the new broadband PTS10147 operates over the two to six gigahertz frequency range with a high power of 100W (pulsed or CW) and a linear gain of around 60 dB.

Compact Ka band microwave power modules for radar

PTXM9754 drop-in replacement microwave power module

TMD Technologies has introduced the PTXM9754, an ultra-compact, modular MPM (Microwave Power Module). This unit is well suited for high-performance military radar, EW/EA/ECM and communications systems. It utilises a ‘super-mini’ TWT (travelling wave tube), a solid-state preamp, and an optimised high density switched-mode power supply to form a single ‘drop-in’ amplifier block.

TMD exhibits for first time at Electronic Warfare

Companies sign contract at Farnborough Airshow

TMD Technologies and LIG Nex1 have been working in partnership for over ten years. A contract signed in July at the Farnborough International Airshow covers supply of Travelling Wave Tubes (TWTs). A TWT is a specialized vacuum tube that is used in electronics to amplify RF signals in the microwave range. These will be incorporated into the Korean company’s missile programme, with the contract value of £5m.
