SAKOR Technologies has announced that it has supplied a test system to Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to be used to test the atmospheric flight control system for the Dream Chaser spacecraft. Dream Chaser is a lifting-body, reusable, crewed or uncrewed horizontal-landing vehicle. It is owned and operated by Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and is designed as a space utility vehicle for low-earth orbit.

Harmonic Drive UK will be exhibiting its range of high precision gears at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow. The company will be on Stand 4026 in Hall 4 from 16th to 22nd July to advise aerospace manufacturers on the best gearing system for their product. More than 40 years ago, the first Harmonic Drive gears were sent into space during the Apollo 15 mission.

Gowanda’s ER5025S series complements MIL-PRF-39010 QPL axial-leaded (thru-hole) products and enables their conversion to SMT circuitry via this new MIL-PRF-39010 qualified SMT series. ER5025S meets QPL’s ER requirements to failure rate level M (for /17 and /18). The performance ranges provided by this series include inductance from 0.10 to 10,000 µH, Q min from 40 to 60, SRF MHz min from 1.0 to 450, DCR Ohms max from 0.025 to 139, and current rating mA DC from 30 to 2245.

VPX carrier board suitable for FMC and FMC+ modules
A 3U VPX carrier board has been introduced by Pentek for FMC and FMC+ modules based on the high performance Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA. The JadeFX Model 5983 includes a VITA-57.4 FMC site providing access to a wide range of I/O options. When combined with any of Pentek’s Flexor FMCs to create a FlexorSet, it becomes a complete multichannel data conversion and processing subsystem suitable for connection to IF, HF or RF ports of a communications or radar system.
