Designed for reduced spaces in military and aviation applications, Amphenol Socapex's 38999 Reduced Flange receptacle combines space and weight savings with the performance of a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector. Its design reduces the footprint surface by 41%. It is also 20% lighter than a standard MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector. The connector is suitable in situations where a maximum number of MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors need to be installed in a minimum of space or when there are weight constraints.

Analog Devices has announced a 14-bit, 2.6 GSPS dual A/D converter which enables IF/RF sampling with superior speed and linearity. The AD9689 A/D converter features power dissipation of 1.55W per channel, half the dissipation of comparable solutions in the market, thus further increasing suitability for many of its targeted design situations.

500W GaN-on-Si power transistor showcased at EuMW
The newest entry in its GaN-on-Si power transistor portfolio for pulsed L-Band radar systems targeted for airport surveillance radar (ASR) applications at 1.2 to 1.4 GHz has been released by MACOM Technology Solutions. The MAGX-101214-500 delivers efficiency at peak pulse power levels up to 500W and it is expected to outperform premium-priced GaN-on-SiC-based transistors, and exceed the performance, efficiency and power density of legacy LDMOS-based devices.

The PolarFire FPGAs from Microsemi are now in stock at Solid State Supplies. PolarFire is a low power cost-optimised FPGA that offers a significant reduction in power over equivalent SRAM FPGAs while addressing specific market needs. The architecture and process optimised PolarFire FPGA family offers between 100k and 500k logic elements (LEs) while high performance 12.7Gbps transceivers deliver small physical size and requires around 50% less power than competing mid-range FPGAs.
