EIS Electronics designs, manufactures and delivers precise, high tech electrical harnesses qualified for use in Aerospace and Defense applications. From major Airbus programmes and Ariane 5 launch vehicles to various satellites, military armoured vehicles, submarines and radar systems.

Products are manufactured at facilities (located in Germany and India) that include CATIA V5 design and ISO 8 Cleanrooms.

The company also employs more than 200 highly-trained professionals who are passionate about managing small- and large-scale projects and delivering reliable products that meet customer specifications on time and within budget.

MIL-STD-1553 Data Bus Standard
MIL-STD-1533 Data Bus has a long service history of proven reliability in critical military avionics, which has paved the way for use in commercial airline and spaceflight applications.

The data bus is used on various satellite platforms as a robust communications protocol and interface. It connects satellite bus sub-systems and units (e.g., AOCS, TT&C, data handling, and power control), as well as payload in a redundant configuration.

ESCC-Qualified Cable Harnesses
EIS delivers MIL-STD-1533 harnesses with approved materials that operate reliably under extremely harsh environmental conditions typical for spaceflight applications. The dedicated staff at EIS works closely with customers to assist them throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Starting with the design phase and prototypes to product integration and quality management, ensuring performance in the specific application.

Based on a standard configuration developed by EIS, materials and parts such as cables, plotting compounds, shielding, and connectors can be customised to meet customer requirements around durability, weight, and cost.

  • EIS In-line Couplers / Terminators: Fully tested and qualified according to ESCC-E-ST-50-13C and available as 1, 2 or 3 stub couplers with or without termination
  • GORE Space Cables: Qualified according to ESCC-3902/002, Variant 20 for dataline applications
  • Transformers: Fully tested according to ESCC 3201, Charts II and III, and qualified according to MIL-PRF-21038
  • Fault protection / ESD protection resistors: Qualified according to ECSS-Q-ST-60C, Quality Level Class 1
